Naruto Online has a lot going on. As you take control of your ninja to relive all of the biggest events from the Naruto manga and anime, you’ll have to get some help from the other shinobi from the Naruto universe. That’s where recruiting ninjas come in.
There are a lot of different ninjas to recruit, but you won’t be able to recruit whoever you want from the start. As you play and level up you’ll unlock some characters based on the story. These tend to be more basic characters such as young Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. They’ll join you on your journey and help you defeat any foes you may come across.
The more powerful ninjas, however, require a bit more than just progressing through the story. You’ll have to unlock fragments for each specific character. These can be obtained as rewards, in gifts, and through the story. Each character has multiple versions, so if you want to recruit a specific form of say, Tsunade, you’ll need to collect enough Fragments for that specific one.
Once you have what you need, click on the Ninja icon in the bottom, right-hand corner of your screen, and you’ll be able to access recruiting from there. If you find yourself in the Team screen, just click Train in the upper, right-hand corner to switch to the menu of all the ninjas you can recruit. From there, just pick the one you want.
You can also recruit ninjas randomly using the Recruit tab which unlocks once you hit level 11. This allows you to use scrolls in exchange for the chance to unlock useful items and powerful shinobi. Of course, this method doesn’t guarantee you anything, but there’s no harm in trying your luck.
