Time to defend.
It’s taken a while, but Marvel’s finally on track to get their four Netflix shows out so they can move on to the big cheese of it all: The Defenders. Where the Avengers deal with more global (and pretty soon, cosmic) affairs, these guys are devoted to dealing with issues on their home turf of New York. And finally, there’s a trailer to prove that it’s more than a pipe dream, set to the song “Come as You Are” by Nirvana and made up of different parts of each show’s logo.

The Defenders will reach Netflix sometime next year. More than likely, it’ll come after Iron Fist has premiered. Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones will reprise their respective roles as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. If the end of the trailer is any indication, the four street heroes will be joining forces to take down the supernatural ninja force The Hand, who Daredevil has a rather hostile relationship with.
