Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Director Shares the Film’s First Concept Art

Guardians of the Galaxy surprised everyone when it released to critical and commercial acclaim in 2014, and next year audiences will be reunited with Star-Lord, Gamora, and their companions when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 comes to cinemas. Filming for the sequel began back in February, and wrapped just last month. Now, director James Gunn has shared the first official piece of concept art for the upcoming film, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, featuring plenty of familiar faces as well as one new.

From left to right we see Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel), Yondu (Michael Rooker), Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), newcomer Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Gamora (Zoe Saldana). Klementieff is one of several new additions to the cast including Chris Sullivan, Elizabeth Debicki, and Kurt Russell, all in unconfirmed roles.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to get you hooked on a feeling once more when it hits cinemas on May 5, 2017.
