It’s dark and full of terrors.
The world presented in Game of Thrones is huge and rich, so what better way to get to know the land of Westeros than with a cool interactive map? The team over at Quarter Maester has recreated a nice interactive map showing off Westeros, as well as the lands across the Narrow Sea. Users can get a better look at the lay of the land, and even read some (largely) spoiler-free notes about certain areas and how they were presented in the HBO TV show.
The Westeros map was created using the Google Maps API, and users can even track down each character’s path and journey using a sidebar on the site. It’s very neat stuff.
Game of Thrones season 6 finally came to a close last week, and it ended things off with an impressive finale, which lots of fans are claiming is one of the best episodes of television yet. The show has been renewed for a seventh season, obviously, and will be returning to HBO next year. The wait begins.
