Gears of War 4 is the next chapter of the Coalition of Ordered Government’s story as they take the fight to the next threat against humanity. Set 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3, players will follow the story of J.D. Fenix and the rest of his team on a blood-fueled mission to save the human race.
Gears of War 4 is officially due to release worldwide on Oct. 11, 2016. However, due to the Early Access on offer as part of the Ultimate Edition, players will be able to start playing the game from October 7 if they’re willing to cough up the extra money.
For those who are interested in getting the Early Access, you’ll get some other goodies with it too. The Ultimate Edition gives players a nice Steelbook case for their copy of the game, as well as the Season Pass too which grants them permanent access to 24 DLC maps for private play on dedicated servers, a developer playlist that allows access to test maps and modes before they’re released, six Gear crates, and the vintage VIP pack. This DLC pack features vintage JD and two vintage weapon skins. Of course, if you want to go all-out for Gears of War 4, there is a collector’s edition that comes with a Frag Grenade Keychain, an exclusive lithograph by TriForce, three Gears Crates to get you some extra items in the game’s multiplayer, and most importantly, a JD Fenix on COG Bike giant statue. We’re not kidding when we say giant either, with the statue measuring up at 19 inches long and 11 inches in height. This premium edition will set you back $250 if you can manage to pre-order one.
