The new trailer shows off scenes from Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy – Future Volume, as well as the Despair Volume. The Future Volume will feature a cast of new characters, as well as some familiar faces from the first game, including Makoto Naegi, Aoi Asahina, and Kyoko Kirigiri. The events of Future Volume take place after Danganronpa 2, and will likely focus on the characters as they attempt to restore hope and balance to the world. Of course, Monokuma also show up in the middle of all this.

Despair Volume is a little more interesting, as it follows the lives of the Danganronpa 2 cast before they got roped into the murder game on Jabberwock Island in the second game. This means we’ll be able to see how these characters interacted with each other in school, before they’d gotten all of their memories erased.

Both Danganronpa 3 volumes will be aired in Japan later this month.
