Crackdown 3 was originally scheduled to be released this year, but Microsoft ended up delaying the game to 2017. If you were wondering why that is, well, it’s because Reagent Games is working on the game’s campaign. While the multiplayer has been going pretty well in terms of development, Microsoft Studios general manager Shannon Loftis spoke to Game Informer and said that it’s the campaign the studio is “doubling down” on, partly because it’ll be more responsive to actions of the player.
“We created this thing called a ‘hate table.’ Depending on what you choose to destroy in the environment, there will be massive, big reactions all over the city. Gangs will get together against you.”
Loftis said that they have “lots of time” to put together the missions. While she doesn’t want to let gamers down and ask them to wait, she also wants to be sure to make sure that they can put out the best product. Here’s hoping that whenever Crackdown 3 comes to the Xbox One and Windows 10 next year that that statement still holds true.
