The voice of Sam weighs in on Uncharted 4’s future DLC
Much like us all, Troy Baker is looking forward to what Naughty Dog will deliver in Uncharted 4’s DLC content. Twinfinite got a chance to speak with Baker, voice of Nathan Drake’s brother Sam, at Sydney’s Supanova convention about what he wants to see in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s future.
“After playing the game, I find myself really torn, because a part of me wants, of course, [to see] what Sam and Sully are going to do,” he said. “I’m kind of curious to see what this new new addition to the Drake family with the daughter [Cassie] will bring.”
Troy can also see the team continuing young Sam’s and young Nate’s story, which set a strong foundation in Uncharted 4 but left much to explore.
“I was so impressed with what Chase Austin did as young Sam that there’s a lot of me that wants to see [the series] go back,” Baker said, thirsty to see more of the young duo’s adventures. “We jumped from them being in the orphanage to the prison – I want to know what happened during that whole space in between.”
As for what Naughty Dog has in the works, that’s still up in the air. “They’re still batting about ideas,” Baker said. “I don’t think they’ve even landed on one. Those guys are still recuperating from shipping that game.” Naughty Dog has not shared any details on the downloadable content since the game’s launch in May this year, but Baker isn’t worried.
“The cool thing is when you work with someone like Naughty Dog, you just have to trust them, and I’m sure they’re going to make the right decision.”
