Ubisoft’s Film Partners Lined Up for Future Big Screen Adaptations

With the recent announcement that Jake Gyllenhaal will star in a big screen adaptation of The Division, Ubisoft now has a clear picture of their partners for upcoming film adaptations of some of their most popular franchises.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon is set to be adapted by Warner Bros. 20th Century Fox and Regency are poised to distribute Assassin’s Creed, which has released a trailer and will star Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell is also set to come from 20th Century Fox and Regency, which supposedly has Tom Hardy attached to star as Sam Fischer. Columbia Pictures will handle Rabbids the Movie, an adaptation of the Raving Rabbids franchise, which itself is a spinoff from the Rayman franchise. A film adaptation of Watch Dogs will also be distributed by Columbia Pictures.

Finally, it looks like Ubisoft looks to double down on the Raving Rabbids franchise, as they have also tapped Nickelodeon to create a Rabbids cartoon show.
