Perhaps Hideo Kojiima doesn’t have a conflict this time around…
It may be a while away yet, but Geoff Keighley and his crew have already announced the return date for The Game Awards; the annual live show which celebrates the industry with a bunch of awards and surprise announcements.
The Game Awards 2016 will premiere on the 1st of December, later this year.
Not only that, but the show has a banner at the Los Angeles Convention Center for E3 this year, boasting a moniker which suggests that you’ll be able to watch the entire thing in virtual reality.
Game Awards host and producer extraordinaire Geoff Keighley posted a photo of the banner earlier today via Twitter, which includes the return date alongside a headline stating that the show will be “Live on Every Gaming Screen + VR”.

Unfortunately we don’t have much more to go on than that, but Keighley promises more details to come over the summer period.
Last year’s show was held in Los Angeles, and endowed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with the esteemed Game of The Year Award for 2015.
The show also featured surprise announcment such as Psychonauts 2 and Batman: The Telltale Series.
