Steam Players Get Upgraded to Skyrim Special Edition for Free


That’s very generous move, Bethesda.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, the re-release of the latest main entry in the Elder Scrolls series, will feature greatly enhanced visuals and will be coming to the PS4, PC and Xbox One. Bethesda also revealed that PC players who owned the original version of the game on Steam will get the remastered special edition for free later this year on Oct. 28.

Skyrim Special edition will come with full  improved visuals,  all the previous DLC, and mod support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox one versions of the game. Lastly, a brand new reveal trailer was uncovered at the Bethesda’s conference. Click here to check it out.

Bethesda’s press conference has just wrapped up and we learned more about games such as Dishonored 2, more content coming to Fallout 4, Quake, and  much more.

After the great success showing off the capabilities of the platform at E3 2012, and the great reaction from play-testers, Bethesda has decided to partner up with HTC and the Vive headset to bring both Fallout 4 and DOOM to consumers, aiming to deliver the most immersive experience using the exciting gameplay we know and love.
