NBA 2K16: How to Earn VC

More VC more problems.

If you’re playing NBA 2K16, chances are that you would like to level up your own created player and get yourself some sweet new gear to use on the court. To do this you’ll need Virtual Currency (VC), which can take a bit of a grind to obtain. Luckily, there are a few surefire ways to fatten up your virtual account, keeping you on top of your game.

MyCareer Mode will grant you VC as long as you’re connected to the internet. As you play through your seasons you’ll start to earn this useful currency whether you win or lose. Of course, winning will net you more than a loss, so always try your best. Online matches are another way to earn yourself a  steady stream of VC. You can play against friends or strangers, either way will help you earn more funds.

If you happen to have the MyNBA2K16 mobile app (available on both iOS and Android devices) you can earn VC through that as well. Every day you will receive random rewards which can include varying amounts of VC that you can use in NBA 2K16. Just make sure you link the app to your gaming account of choice (Xbox Live or PSN).

Finally, if you feel you need more and the other options aren’t working fast enough, you can always turn to microtransactions. Depending on how much VC you’re trying to obtain, you have many different options:

  • 5,000 VC – $1.99
  • 15,000 VC – $4.99
  • 35,000 VC – $9.99
  • 75,000 VC – $19.99
  • 200,000 VC – $49.99
  • 450,000 VC – $99.99

Again, microtransactions are completely optional, and can help speed things along if you don’t want to earn the currency through the game. But remember, you can earn plenty of VC while playing NBA 2K16, you’ll just have to play a lot of ball.
