Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is the first ever mobile app title in the series and story wise takes place 100 years before Kingdom Hearts 1 and the Legendary Keyblade wars. Players take the role of a fully customizable avatar and at the start have to ally themselves with one of five Unions. The game is also considered canon.
Gameplay wise, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X sees players using cards much like in Chain of Memories. Decks are made up of nine cards and three of these cards are selected at random at the start of each fight. Along with earning muney and experience points players also earn Lux, which are pieces of light and are tailed at the end of each night to decide the winning side. The winning side gets rewards such as Moogle Room tickets which they can trade in for better cards.
Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is an iPhone and Android title that was originally released in North America back in early April. The title managed to top 2 million sales in its first month of release in North America.
