Fallout 4, DOOM headed to VR in 2017 with HTC Vive

A Virtual tour of Hell.

Just announced at their E3 conference, Bethesda will be leaping into the world of VR with two of their biggest franchises.

After the great success showing off the capabilities of the platform at E3 2012, and the great reaction from play-testers, Bethesda have decided to partner up with HTC and the Vive headset to bring both Fallout 4 and DOOM to consumers, aiming to deliver the most immersive experience using the exciting gameplay we know and love

DOOM on Bethesda VR is being tauted as a “virtual tour of hell”, and will use the idtech 6 engine to recreate the astounding graphical fidelity of DOOM.

Fallout 4 on Bethesda VR seeks to offer an even more absorbing experience than the gritty survival mode. With the game constantly expanding with more content, VR will only add to the already captivating experience.

Bethesda also announced that the game will be released with fully fledged VR support on the HTC Vive platform in 2017.
