Destiny: Rise of Iron Release Date Announced; Coming to PS4 and Xbox One Only

Tony Stark not included.

It’s no secret that Destiny’s getting one final expansion called Rise of Iron. No one knows much about it other than that it’ll apparently involve Lord Shaxx and his awesome space wolves, but now it looks like we finally have some more details.

For one thing, the new expansion will be coming out on September 20, which isn’t that surprising. Bungie games usually hit for September, as is the case with the base game of Destiny and The Taken King expansion last year. What is surprising is that the new expansion will apparently be only for the Xbox One and PS4. It’s not clear if it’ll always be like this or if the two systems have priority before the last gen players get it sometime later. Should Bungie or Activision provide an answer, we’ll let you know.

We’ll learn more about Destiny: Rise of Iron tomorrow, during Bungie’s live stream. Excited? Let us know in the comments below.
