Back to the station.
Aside from playing weird musical notes each time you win a round, Umbrella Corps also features maps designed based on iconic locations from past Resident Evil games. Most notably, as featured in Eurogamer’s gameplay footage below, we get to wander outside what looks like the police station from Resident Evil 2. In a later match, we also get to shoot some zombies in the African village present in Resident Evil 5.
It looks like most of the maps in Umbrella Corps will be taken from past games (we’ve already seen the village from Resident Evil 4), and they do look pretty good. While the multiplayer shooter gameplay itself doesn’t seem all that impressive, it’s nice to see locales from older games rendered in a new engine and with better visuals too. Perhaps this will also give us an idea of what we can expect from Capcom’s upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake.

Umbrella Corps is set to be released for the PS4 and PC on June 21 in North America and Europe.
