A far cry from failing.
Ubisoft have revealed statistics for their financial year of 2016 and several of their key franchises have done incredibly well.
Showcased during a FY16 earnings presentation, it was revealed that Ubisoft’s big new title, The Division, has 9.5 million registered users and the game is currently played an average of 3 hours a day by active players. The Division’s season pass attach rate was also at a record 20%. The Division also had the biggest launch of any new IP ever.
It was also revealed that Ubisoft had 3 of the 5 best-selling games of calendar Q1 2016: The Division, Far Cry Primal and Rainbow Six: Siege. Far Cry Primal also had a record performance for a game released in February.
The entirety of the presentation is available to view here. With no Assassin’s Creed game coming out this year, it’ll be interesting to see how Ubisoft does in the holidays and what they bring to the table.
