Publisher Yamilia Avendano: Ratchet & Clank on PS4 might be based on a movie, but it absolutely does not fall prey to the well-known stigma. Being a complete reboot of the original, fans of the series as well as newcomers will have a great time with it and find something new to love. There’s intense, fast-paced action around every corner, fun humor, great characters, an engaging story, creative weapons, a difficulty that’s just right, and so much more.
Insomniac Games could have made this game be an obvious cash grab, just in time for the movie. However, they went above and beyond the call, and showed us how great reboots can be. We should hold every single franchise reboot to Ratchet & Clank on PS4’s standard, that’s how amazing it is. Oh, and the beautiful graphics will have you stopping to stare, by the way. Maybe even drool a bit.
