What’s next for challenge runners?
While the Souls games are known for their challenge and difficulty, some players like pushing themselves past that limit. Dark Souls III has been released for a while now, and players are discovering new ways of playing the game and giving themselves new challenges. Years ago, a player beat the first game with a Guitar Hero controller. Today, we get to check out Rudeism tackle Dark Souls III with nothing but a dance pad. You can check out his attempt against the first boss, Iudex Gundyr, below.
Of course, this isn’t the only challenge run available for Dark Souls III. Other players have already started their Soul Level 1 runs, no healing runs, no shield runs, and first-person mod runs. With the Souls games being known for encouraging flexible gameplay and tactics, it’ll be interesting to see what other challenge runs players come up with over the next few months.
