You can’t take the skies from me.
Today, Playstation unceremoniously revealed that the highly-anticipated space exploration game No Man’s Sky has been delayed from the original date of June 21st to August 9th. This development comes several days after rumors of the game’s delay began circulating, and after no comment from either Sony or developer Hello Games.
Early March saw the announcement of the first June release date, which felt like a solid date at the time considering how in the dark Hello Games has been about the game for the last three years. But alas, we’ll have to sit around twiddling our curious thumbs for another two months.
The game has recently seen a healthy run of reveals, with Hello Games’ Sean Murray showing off the game and talking about the lore of No Man’s Sky’s world, and we also learned about the game’s official soundtrack. The Twinfinite team also took some time to talk about video game hype recently, with a focus on No Man’s Sky, and it’s really worth checking out.
What do you think of this delay?
