Following the recent news that No Man’s Sky is going to suffer from delays, the games creator Sean Murray from Hello Games has spoke out about the unfortunate events that have led to it’s re-purposed release date of August 9.
In a post over on the Playstation.Blog, he detailed how much hard work has been put in to the game, and how excited he is to share it with everyone soon. “Making this game is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life… but the game really has come together, and it’s such an incredible relief”
Sean then revealed the reason behind the delay “We realized some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards” He felt it was a tough choice, but a much-needed solution to “deliver something special”.
He then went on to offer his apologies to the loyal fans and the communities that have been following the game thus far, revealing the “Intense amount of expectation” they’ve been under.
“We get one shot to make this game and we can’t mess it up”
Hopefully this will mean that we’ll be getting the true No Man’s Sky that Hello Games have been ever so passionate about on release day. The wait might be a little bit more excruciating, but I’m sure it’ll be worth it.
