2K Games is launching 2K StreamCast—a spectator mode specifically for the NBA 2K16 Road to the Finals tournament—on May 21.
NBA 2K16 players will be able to watch games live and on-demand directly through their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. The new feature will only be live for the Road to the Finals tournament, and 2K has not announced whether it’ll ever be a permanent fixture for the game.
NBA 2K16 is a 16-team, single-elimination tournament that begins on May 21. The championship match will take place on June 1, when two teams will compete for $250,000.
In April, 2K announced NBA 2K17 would have a Legend Edition featuring 18-time NBA all-star Kobe Bryant. NBA 2K17 will also have a standard edition. 2K is expected to announce its 2K17 cover star during the Road to the Finals championship match.
