European fighting fans listen up because you won’t need to import SNK’s King of Fighters XIV after all, as Deep Silver has announced that they will be handling the game’s European release.
The news was announced earlier today by Deep Silver, both on their Twitter account and on their website, where they noted that it will be released throughout Europe on Aug 26, 2016. Three days after its release in North America. King of Fighters XIV will be available both at retail and digitally, and will cost £49.99/€59.99.
King of Fighters XIV aims to be the most beginner friendly entry in the series so far, thanks to a new ‘Rush’ feature that will simplify combo inputs. The game will feature a roster of 50 characters, 19 of which are brand new fighters. The game will also include an improved MAX mode and Party Battle Mode, so six friends will be able to take each other on in 3 v 3 online matches.
The CEO of Koch Media and Deep Silver, Dr. Klemens Kundratitz commented saying:
We are looking forward to adding THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV to Deep Silver’s portfolio. Publishing the next instalment of such an iconic fighting series in Europe, the first time on PS4, supplements our roster of Deep Silver games nicely.
Deep Silver also announced that they will be accepting pre-orders for the Day One edition of King of Fighters XIV soon, which will include a steel book edition and the CLASSIC KYO Kusanagi DLC costume. You can check out the steel-book edition in the newest KoF XIV trailer below.
