The historic rivalry between Call of Duty and Battlefield rises to new levels of intensity on YouTube.
After a much-anticipated reveal event last week, DICE and EA finally blew the lid off their next installment in the Battlefield franchise, releasing an in-game trailer for Battlefield 1, complete with an oddly distorted take on the White Stripes “Seven Nation Army.”
You can check it out below:
That trailer now has over 1 million likes on YouTube, not to mention nearly 20 million views, officially making it the most liked trailer of all time on the site, even when you incorporate movie and TV trailers into the equation.
This also places the Battlefield 1 reveal trailer into the top 250 most liked videos of all time on YouTube, which is by no means a minor achievement.
The irony here is that the new trailer for the latest Call of Duty game – Infinite Warfare – has already become the most disliked trailer in YouTube history, and the 8th most disliked video ever.
Whether Battlefield 1 can live up to the hype it has now generated, however, remains to be seen, but you can pre-order the game at through several vendors, including GameStop, Amazon, and Origin, for when it releases this October.
