Uncharted 4 Will Have the Popular Multiplayer Mode Plunder

Plunder, plunder, plunder.

Uncharted 4 is thankfully just a few weeks away, and for the lucky people going to PAX East this weekend, it’ll definitely be there. Today, Naughty Dog announced that the multiplayer mode Plunder will be returning and playable at the convention.

Plunder is basically Capture the Flag, except the flag is an idol and you can throw it to keep it from the enemy just a bit longer. In Uncharted 2 and 3, idol carriers weren’t able to traverse with it, but that’s been thankfully removed for this game. Previous games also had 5 v 5 matches of Plunder, but now it’s been slimmed down to 4 v 4. To Naughty Dog, this player reduction is “perfect”, and they hope players feel the same. For PAX attendees, Plunder will be playable on three maps–Island, Madagascar City, and Rooftops, all of which were playable in the beta and Multiplayer Stress Tests months ago.

Uncharted 4 releases on May 10.
