The trailer shows that players can enter battle in real time by simply walking up to an enemy. There are up to seven characters who can join the battle, but players can only take control six of them, with Relia being left out. You can also switch between those six characters seamlessly during battle. Battle roles and skills were also showcased along with the fact that you can switch between light attacks, heavy attacks, and guarding. By using those attacks you can fill up a gauge and keep it filled in order to gain bonuses or use to unleash an ultimate attack. Each character will have four skills, two each for short and long range.

It should also be noted that during the Star Log two new character spotlights were released for Victor and Fiore. Also, the game will be playable for the first time during PAX East. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will be released in North America on June 28 and in Europe on July 1 for PlayStation 4.
