With cross-buy support and all DLC characters as well.
Lab Zero Games has announced that it will be releasing Skullgirls 2nd Encore onto the PS Vita on April 5th. The game was originally supposed to be released onto the PS Vita last summer but was delayed because the studio was struggling with “balancing performance and image quality on the handheld.”
The PlayStation Blog revealed that Skullgirls 2nd Encore will feature:
- All 5 DLC characters
- Fully voiced story mode
- New Challenges — including playing as the Skullgirl herself, Marie!
- New Trials
- New Survival Mode
- Full Platinum Trophy set
Lab Zero Games has also included front touchscreen support which players will be able to customize to summon assist characters, switch fighters, and more. The PS Vita version of Skullgirls 2nd Encore will also include cross-play with the PS4 and PS3 versions of the game, as well as local multiplayer support through the PSTV. The game also features cross-buy support, so fans who already own the game on the PS3 or PS4 can play it on the PS Vita and vice versa.
Along with announcing the PS Vita version, Lab Zero Games also announced that the studio will be releasing one more patch for all versions of the game which will add multiplayer lobbies. You’ll be able to purchase themes and 39 Skullgirl avatars into the PSN Store too.
