Epic games have finally released a post on their blog announcing that the Paragon Beta weekends will be kicking off this later week.
The beta release will allow players (who have already signed up) to try Paragon for the first time. However, the beta is also being released so that Epic Games can test their servers and see if they can handle having thousands of players battling at the same time.
The first beta weekend will be running from the 28th of April (this Thursday) until May 1st. Sadly, this is not an open beta, which does mean that Epic Games will be inviting the first 500,000 Beta registrants who have already signed up. However, there is a light towards the end of the tunnel! There will be an open beta to those who sign up (before May 1st) where all of the players will be able to conquer the battlefields from May 5th to May 8th.
During these weekends, there will also be some additional bonuses for Early Access players. Those who are already playing Paragon with Early Access will receive Double XP during both of the beta weekends. This will then will allow Early Access players to stack their boost’s with the extra XP. However, early access players are also expected to guide new players and show them the ropes of the game.
Epic games also revealed that they do have plans for more beta weekends on the horizon and that they will be continuously updating the game with new characters and features such as their new Fiery Heroic duo Iggy and Scorch.
What do you guys think? Will you be checking out the beta?
