The announcement accompanied Nintendo’s annual financial results, along with the news that The Legend of Zelda Wii U will be releasing on the NX as well. The Wii U version will be delayed until March, allowing for both versions to release at the same time. Nintendo later tweeted that the new The Legend of Zelda will be their focus at E3 2016.

“For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed ‘NX’ with a brand-new concept,” the report reads. No further details on the system were made available.
