The update comes ahead of the “NieR Music Concert & Talk Live” event taking place in Japan on April 16. The event takes place at the EX in Roppongi, Tokyo and will feature a host of music tracks from the series along with new ones. The series director Yoko Taro will also be there with other developers to provide new information on the upcoming title.
Automata was announced at E3 in 2015, and is a follow up to the cult favorite title NieR from 2010 although not a direct sequel. The game is being developed by both Square Enix and Platinum games in a partnership.
Nier: Automata is currently in development, and is expected to release on the PlayStation 4 sometime in 2016. Take a look at the reveal trailer for the game from last year’s Paris Games Week.
