Gears of War 4’s Season Pass Includes Developer Playlists and a Year’s Worth of Maps

Tis the season.

Like most games these days, Gears of War 4 will come with a season pass. Today, Xbox Wire revealed the contents of what the season pass will include when the game releases.

Priced at $50 and available separately or included in the Ultimate Edition, the season pass will give you an exclusive Vintage VIP pack that comes with a Vintage skin in multiplayer for JD Fenix and two Vintage weapon skins. Players will also receive permanent access to 24 future maps for private play on dedicated servers. The maps will come two a month for the next year, and the pass also includes a Developer Playlist in multiplayer. This playlist will provide players with access to new maps, modes, and features that’ll be tested before full release to the masses. Finally, there’ll also be six Gear Packs, which unlock character and weapon skins, boosts, and equipment. Sounds like a pretty great deal, especially for a year’s worth of multiplayer maps.

Gears of War 4 stomps and guns its way to the Xbox One on October 11. Here’s our thoughts on the beta!
