Dragon Age Producer Teases Mysterious New Logo

Is this mysterious logo BioWare's new IP?

Mark Darrah, Executive Producer of the Dragon Age Franchise for BioWare, tweeted a video of a book with a mysterious logo on the cover.

Only one page inside the book was shown, revealing the words “Internal Use Only” and “Property of BioWare/EA.”

Speculation surrounding this image is rife. Judging by the book’s intended internal use it is likely to be a concept book or a Bible for one of BioWare’s franchises. However, this still leaves several possible culprits.

It is unlikely that the image is related to the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda, as the castle and flame image do not fit that franchise thematically. One possibility is the mysterious new IP that Alistair McNally flaunted, unnoticed, on a t-shirt at GDC 2016, which is possibly related to the secret IP writer Jay Watamaniuk has been talking about for a while. Though the image has the look of a franchise logo, it may be unlikely for it to represent BioWare’s new franchise as they already have a strong Fantasy IP in Dragon Age.

The logo itself hints at Dragon Age with it’s Fantasy imagery of a castle surmounted by a flame. Eagle-eyed Dragon Age fans may have noticed that the centre of that flame appears to be formed in the shape of a wolf’s head. Could this be a reference to the events of Trespasser DLC that ended Dragon Age: Inquisition?

This leak could also tie in to a previous tweet by Mark Darrah where he asked fans about a possible Dragon Age tactics game. Combined with the tower’s visual similarity to the rook Chess piece, it is definitely possible that this is the first sight the public is getting of this new Dragon Age game.

Which BioWare IP do you think the image relates to? Let us know in the comments.
