BioWare is Streaming a Goose; Yes, an Actual Goose

BioWare Goose

“Do geese like Mass Effect?”

For two hours now, BioWare has been streaming a goose to the world. Why? Well, you see, this is no ordinary goose.

Wait, sorry, my bad. It’s a completely ordinary goose.

Canada often sees nesting geese in the Spring, and BioWare Edmonton’s office happens to have one laying eggs right on their studio roof. Ganders, the mother, is incubating them as we speak, while her partner, Arishonk, is off patrolling the perimeter. The Goose Cam will patiently stream the enthralling process of incubation, and eventually, these geese will welcome their newborns to the blaring horns and drums of BioWare’s most epic musical scores.

“How many eggs did Ganders lay? When will they hatch? Do geese like Mass Effect? From 1-10, how cute is a baby goose?”

These are great questions, BioWare. I ponder them as I stare at this completely immobile bird.

The stream also suggests donating to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton, a non-profit organization that’s been caring for injured, contaminated and orphaned wildlife in the area for over 25 years.

We’ll keep you updated on all the goose-related antics. In the meantime, check out some of today’s top stories below.
