XCOM fans, get excited!
Julian Gollop, creator of the popular turn-based strategy series, XCOM, has announced his next game, Phoenix Point.
Called Phoenix Point, the game will offer turn-based tactical combat and “world-based” strategy, whatever that means. Gollop made the announcement of Phoenix Point via his Twitter account, which also included a link to the website for the game.

The website, as you can see, is pretty bare and doesn’t tell us anything else about what we can expect from Phoenix Point. However, if you want to keep up to date with any news about the game you can sign up for e-mail newsletters.
The only thing of interest that we could take away from the website was the image below. We can spot a side-profile of a face, but then what looks like to be some strange alien body or limbs.
The game is being developed by Snapshot Games, founded in 2013 by Gollop and David Kaye. We’re still waiting to see if the relatively young studio will look to launch a crowdfunding campaign for Phoenix Point, but we’ll keep you updated as and when details are made available.
