Leaks on leaks on leaks.
Leaks have not been entirely out of the ordinary lately, specifically for Nintendo games. Just a few days after Pokémon Sun and Moon are preemptively revealed to the world, something titled Monster Hunter Generations appears as recently trademarked.
As is often the case with Monster Hunter games, they will typically release exclusively in Japan for a while, only to get an overseas release under a different name in a different package. With a new Nintendo Direct set to air tomorrow, the Western release of Monster Hunter X for the Nintendo 3DS is almost to be expected.
Of course, that might not be the case; Monster Hunter Generations might actually be another Monster Hunter game altogether, for all we know. However, it is not entirely likely. Monster Hunter games have been wildly popular both stateside and over in Japan, so it would be lunacy to not release the latest title outside of Japan.
Whatever Monster Hunter Generations is, though, there’s the strong possibility that it will be great. Still, the world will have to wait and see what it really is tomorrow when the Nintendo Direct finally tells all. Here’s hoping it really is that Western release we’ve all been waiting for.
