The Division Sold More Copies Day One Than Any Game in Ubisoft History

The Division

The Division sold pretty well.

The Division launched this past Tuesday, March 8 and following the record-breaking beta has sold with record-breaking launch day numbers.

Ubisoft has announced that its massive open-world shooter, The Division, has sold more copies in its first 24 hours than any other game in Ubisoft’s history. Digital game sales were high as well, setting company records for single-day sales across all three platforms.

Here’s what Yves Guillemot, co-founder and CEO of Ubisoft, had to say about their record-breaking sales: “The launch of The Division is a tremendous achievement for Ubisoft, and demonstrates our unrivaled capacity to create fantastic new game brands and transform them into entertainment blockbusters,” and continued to say, “This is a momentous day for Ubisoft, but more importantly, it marks the start of millions of players’ enduring engagement in The Division’s game world, which we are confident they will love.”

If you are still unsure if you would like to pay full retail for The Division, the game is available for $35 via a new trade-in promotion from GameStop.

The Division is currently available for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Need some help breaking into Ubisoft’s new post-apocalyptic shooter The Division?  Twinfinte has you covered with a full Wiki Guide to get you started.
