Stardew Valley: How to Change Your Appearance (Clothes, Hair, Face)

How to Change Your Appearance in Stardew Valley

When you first start up Stardew Valley, you’ll be able to create a character to your liking. However, Stardew Valley is a long game. You can grow tired of looking at the same haircut and clothes, right? If you’re looking for a way to change your appearance, the good news is that it’s totally possible.

In order to change up your character’s appearance, you’ll need to gain the friendship of the Wizard. He resides to the southwest of the area where Marnie’s Ranch is located, south of your farm. In order to meet him, you’ll need to have already encountered the golden scroll in the Community Center cutscene during one of your first days in Pelican Town. Once you do, it’s only a matter of getting him to like you and raising your friendship with him to four hearts. Check out our in-depth guide on friendships in if you need help with that!

Once you have a four heart friendship with the Wizard in Stardew Valley, you’ll gain access to the basement. Therein lies the Shrine of Illusions where you need to go to change your appearance. It’ll cost you 500 coins every time you want to change something, by the way.
