Star Wars Battlefront Outer Rim DLC Detailed, Includes Greedo as Playable Hero

Star Wars Battlefront, hardest trophies, platinum, trophy, hard

Now you can finally shoot first.

The Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass content is about ready to start releasing, and the first wave of DLC we’ll be seeing is The Outer Rim. In January, EA detailed the road map for Battlefront’s follow up content. Now on the game’s official site, we get a full look at just what the first DLC pack will contain.

The Outer Rim will give us new maps to play with on already existing planets. The fiery factories of Sullust, and Jabba the Hut’s throne room and sail barge will be added into the mix. Finally that giant palace will be more than just a pretty sight in the background.

Two heroes will also be added to the fray allowing players to shoot first as Greedo for the Empire, or Nien Nunb for the Rebel Alliance.

New weapons included are the Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol. While additional star cards let you equip the Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade, and Adrenaline Stim. A new game mode is also included called Extraction, here’s the description of it.

“Rebel forces have entered some of the most dangerous places in the Outer Rim in order to extract a valuable shipment of resources. Now they must bring the shipment to their transport ship before time runs out. The Empire has arrived to stop them from reaching the extraction point.”

There’s plenty of new content for Battlefront fans to take advantage of with the first DLC, and hopefully subsequent packs can add in even more. The Outer Rim is part of the $50 Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass, and it will also be available for purchase individually. There’s no official release date on when the DLC pack will be release as of yet. Future add-ons will include locations on the cloud city of Bespin and the Death Star itself.
