A survivor is born in the stars and the tombs.
You remember that scene in Star Wars: The Force Awakens where Daisy Ridley’s Rey was going through a Star Destroyer, looking for valuable parts to find? Well, she may be doing that again, though this time without the threat of Stormtroopers shooting at her. According to Deadline, Ridley is currently rumored to be up for consideration as Lara Croft in the reboot of Tomb Raider films that Square Enix is working on.
Keep in mind that this is all very early at the moment. Right now, there aren’t any official negotiations or offers, but Warner Bros and MGM are considering her among the wide options they have. She may not get the role, or even audition. Ridley is currently shooting Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is due out for 2017. The role of Lara Croft in live action was previously played by Angelina Jolie in two movies from the early 2000s, and since then, work on a new series of movies has been slow. If they get Ridley for the lead role, she’ll definitely have a busy couple of years ahead of her.
