SNES Games Are Coming to Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console

Portable nostalgia.

Though SNES games are already available on the Wii U, today’s Nintendo Direct confirmed SNES classics will finally be coming to the New 3DS virtual console, because nostalgia should be handheld.

Super Mario World, F-Zero, and Pilotwings will be available to download right after the Direct, and even more titles will become available in the coming months, including Super Metroid (Apr. 14), Earthbound (Mar. 24), Mario Kart (Mar. 24) and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Apr. 14).

For added authenticity, Nintendo also noted the games will feature original SNES resolutions in a perfect pixel mode.
