Resident Evil celebrates its 2oth birthday today and to celebrate, Capcom has released an interview with long-time Resident Evil Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi.
Kobayashi reflects back over the past 20 years and notes how things have changed over the years. He then went on to thank fans of the series for their support, saying: “I never thought I’d still be working on the series 20 years later. We owe the global success of the series to you, our incredible fans.”
The interview itself is in Japanese, so you’ll need to turn the subtitles on. Capcom is planning to release remastered versions of Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 later this year. A complete remake of Resident Evil 2 is also in the works.
