Ratchet and Clank will not see a release in India, according to Gadgets360. The site reports that retail sources have confirmed that Sony does not intend to launch the game in India and is instead focusing more on Uncharted 4.
“Yes, the game is not coming in officially,” said a buyer for an independent game store. “It’s a bit sad considering every other Ratchet & Clank game since the PS2 era has made it to India.”
An online seller also said: “To be honest, it’s not a game they [Sony] can do massive quantities on. Right now all their focus is on Uncharted 4.”
It seems Sony isn’t as interested in releasing games for a region that doesn’t deliver as much when it comes to sales. It looks like gamers in India will have to either import the game or get a digital download if they wish to play it.
It’s possible Ratchet and Clank may be released later on in India if the initial sales elsewhere are strong. Tearaway was released in India despite not initially being launched there.
The Ratchet and Clank reboot is due to be released on April 12 for the PlayStation 4.
