PlayStation Vue Is Now Available Nationwide, Pricing Details Announced

PlayStation Vue, TV, steaming, on-demand, live

A truly beautiful vue

Today Sony announced that its TV steaming service, PlayStation Vue, has now been rolled out nationwide across the US.

The news comes via a post on PlayStation Blog which also details the pricing options and clears up everything that’s available with the release of this new service. PlayStation Vue will allow those who subscribe to the service to watch popular live and on-demand TV from top networks such as AMC, ESPN, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, and more.

The post also detailed the three different multi-channel plans that are now available in all of the new markets. The details are as follows:

  • Access Slim: 55+ channels, including live cable TV, movies, and sports channels for $29.99 per month.
  • Core Slim: 70+ channels, including all the channels from Access Slim with the addition of national and regional sports networks for $34.99 per month.
  • Elite Slim: 100+ channels, featuring all the channels from Core Slim with the addition of more top movie and entertainment channels for $44.99 per month.

All of these plans come with a free seven-day trial. So if you don’t find yourself using it enough, or are just not impressed with the service during that seven day period, you haven’t lost out.

If you’re wondering what the difference is between the Slim and standard multi-channel plans that were available in previously launched cities, then it comes down to a key different. Slim plans are only available in these newly launched markets and will offer all of the same live cable channels as the standard plans. However, ABC, FOX and NBC will offer video-on-demand-only content.

The post also notes that there are no hidden fees or long-term contracts with PlayStation Vue, you can opt-in and out whenever you like and will only ever pay the listed prices per month.

You can access PlayStation Vue through PS4, PS3 Amazon Fire TV, and Fire TV Stick, as well as iOS devices.
