PlayStation VR Launch Bundle Sells out in Minutes on Amazon US

It looks like PlayStation VR is popular.

Following the trend set by European Amazon sites, where day-one stock of the PlayStation VR sold out almost instantly, the American Amazon site sold out of the Launch Bundle in minutes.

The PlayStation VR Launch Bundle, including the headset, move controllers, and the PlayStation Camera, became available for pre-order at 7am PT this morning. Within minutes a message was added to the item’s listing that reads: ‘Due to high demand and limited availability of this product, we have sold through our initial allocation of the PlayStation VR Launch Bundle. We expect a second wave of allocation at some point in the future so please sign up for email availability notifications to ensure you stay up-to-date.’

For now, Amazon US has stopped accepting pre-orders, at least until they receive details on another allocation. Amazon UK instead continued taking orders but refused to confirm a delivery date when their allocation sold out last week.

If you have missed out, the core set, that does not include move controllers or the PlayStation Camera, will be available for pre-order on March 29 but the way things are going you will have to be quick.

PlayStation VR will release in October this year for $399/€399/£349.
