Luke Cage Comes to Netflix in Late September

Move over, Kimmy Schmidt. There’s a new unbreakable person in town.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has four shows in production. Daredevil and Jessica Jones have already had their debut seasons, and Daredevil’s second season hits next Friday. Luke Cage will be the third show, followed by Iron Fist before they come together to form the Defenders, and now it looks like we’ve finally got a release date for the unbreakable man. During the New York City premiere for Daredevil season 2, they announced a September 30 date for Luke’s solo series.

First appearing in Jessica Jones in late November, Luke Cage is a man who was forced into a lab experiment that gave him enhanced strength and unbreakable skin. Things have changed since he last returned to Harlem, and unfortunately, he’s the one that has to sort it all out. He’ll be played once again by Mike Colter, who some may remember as Jameson Locke from Halo 5: Guardians.
