A good addition to 2016’s JRPG lineup.
Rejoice, Etrian Odyssey fans! The latest issue of Famitsu has confirmed that Etrian Odyssey V will be officially released on the Nintendo 3DS on August 4 in Japan. According to Famitsu, the game will be priced at 6,480 yen. It will be set in the land of Arcadia, and players will be introduced to four new races: Arslan, Luneria, Serian, and Brany.
Etrian Odyssey V also promises that players will have more freedom in creating their character, and that the various classes and jobs have also been changed. A first trailer for the game will be premiered via a Niconico stream by Atlus on March 5 at 21:00 Japan time.
The game has not yet been confirmed for a western release at the time of writing. However, considering the recent efforts by Atlus to bring over the earlier games in the series for English speakers, it might not be too preposterous to expect an announcement for an English release soon after the game drops for Japan.
