In New Yoooooooork…
Midnight launch events are nothing new for the big AAA games, and The Division is no exception. Ubisoft’s shared world shooter will be getting a midnight launch of its own at the Microsoft Flagship Store on 5th Avenue in New York.
There’s gonna be music, food, and some gameplay, along with guests from Ubisoft’s Red Storm studio, including producer Tony Sturzel and director Terry Spier. Also coming along are well-known Twitch streamers Swiftor and Futureman Gaming, who’ll be streaming with the fans onsite. Contests will be held to win exclusive items, and the first 200 customers to show up and buy the Xbox One version of the game will also get a limited edition poster for free. Sorry, PC and PS4 buyers.
The launch starts on Monday, March 7 at 9 PM ET. Lineup begins at 8 PM ET. For non-New Yorkers, you’ll be able to pre-load The Division so it’ll be ready for you to play when it releases on March 8. If you aren’t sold on the game, there’s an open beta this weekend. Perfect to help you make up your mind.
