We’re weeks away from Ubisoft’s The Division, and now they’ve revealed a new feature for the PC players–eye tracking. When the game launches, players with compatible sensors (think SteelSeries Sentry Eye Tracker or Tobii’s EyeX) will be able to toggle features that use eye tracking technology. Perfect if you want to make your gaming easier.
Players will be able to use the technology to tag enemies for their teammates, select cover by looking around the environment, and looking at an enemy by aiming down the sights. The minimap and HUD elements will turn opaque and fade when players don’t look directly at them. The field of view will alter to include areas that were previously off screen. You can check some of it out in the trailer below.
Tom Clancy’s The Division hits the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 8. For you PC players, does this make you want to try out the new tech? Let us know in the comments below.
