At Least 100 Oculus Rift Games to Release This Year, Says Palmer Luckey

Even more big numbers.

If you’ve been conscious anytime in the last 24 hours, you’ve probably heard a bit about the Oculus Rift, which in this week alone opened pre-orders, revealed its price, and shared its recommended specs. Let’s just say, they’re all sky high.

But on the bright side, the first-year release lineup is also a fairly tall number too. In a Reddit AMA, Oculus founder Palmer Luckey said that the Oculus will see “at least 100” games available by this year’s end, including “over 20 Oculus Studio titles” and “many more 3rd party titles.”

The Rift is currently set to launch May 2016, and pre-orders sold out in a matter of minutes despite the $599 price tag. Maybe because you didn’t have to pony up any cash upfront to pre-order one.
