Journeying back into the stars is going to take a little longer.
Square Enix has some big games coming next year including Final Fantasy XV. Final Fantasy isn’t the only role-playing series getting a new entry though, as the Tri-Ace series Star Ocean is receiving a brand new entry as well.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness was originally schedule to release February 25, 2016. That release date has now been pushed back by one month to March 31 of the same year. Publisher Square Enix hasn’t stated an exact reason for the delay, but has said it’s to improve the overall quality of the game.
The game has been confirmed for a western release on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 sometime next year, although no exact date has been given at this point. A trailer for the new Star Ocean was shown off at E3 this past June. We’ve also seen a little bit of the combat system for the game, which now seamlessly takes place on the map instead of cutting into battles.
What do you think about Tri-Ace’s return to Star Ocean? Are you excited to see another entry in the space JRPG series? Do you hope that the delay in Japan doesn’t affect the game’s western release date? Tell us down in the comments below.
